The Appeals Body, Mr. Raymond J. Rooney (in the Chair), Mr. Derek Pugh and Mr. Charles Cunningham met in the Turf Club Offices, The Curragh, Co. Kildare on the 24th July to consider the appeal of Mrs. P.K. Cooper & Partners, owners of Curtain Call (FR) against the decision of the Acting Stewards at the Curragh on 29th June 2008 when following the running of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby the placing of Curtain Call (FR) remained unaltered despite the Stewards finding that interference had taken place as they were not satisfied that the horse causing the interference, Alessandro Volta (GB), had improved his position in relation to Curtain Call (FR).
