Race Analysis

LUKIE VICTOR had run well in two recent chase runs and has the form to win this. He jumped left two out but this was otherwise a decent effort and he won comfortably. Winning trainer Jessica Harrington later reported "he likes nice ground and would find it difficult to jump out of heavy ground. He will pay his way and we'll look for another race over a similar trip now - two miles may be a little sharp."

LEANNE ran well on her chase debut. The maiden hurdle winner should easily prove good enough to win a mares event and can pay her way in handicaps.

MONA RI probably ran to his 101 mark and should get his head in front in an average chase soon while LISSBONNEY PROJECT has proven disappointing and dropped out of contention a little too quickly again today. A decent hurdler once, he has proven disappointing since but should still pick up a lower class chase.

DE PEDLAR made a mistake at halfway but never looked like winning while DAN GEORGE stayed on for a never nearer seventh.

Handicaps will present PEARL'S A SINGER with a far better chance of winning and she cannot be ruled out in that sphere, despite never figuring here.

Non-Runners were Youngblood (temperature) and the three reserves.
