Aather (11-2) led home a one-two for Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum in the Glenville Bar & Lounge Maiden at Wexford.

Kevin Prendergast's once-raced son of Key Of Luck colt had shaped with some promise on his Leopardstown debut over a mile and a quarter and appreciated this test of stamina over an extra three furlongs.

Carrying the second set of colours for the owner, he tracked the front-running Almolahek on the rails and asked for an effort two furlongs out by Declan McDonogh, he stayed on strongly to beat the long-time leader by a neck.

Caravino's brave attempt to make all in the Ellen Construction Ltd Handicap was foiled close home by Liam Roche's Add Wings.

The 7-1 chance was never far off the pace, but Pat Smullen had to pull out all the stops to wear down Caravino, eventually prevailing by three-quarters of a length.

Davy Russell drove Unforgettable out to notch his first success in the Universal Building Products Ltd Maiden Hurdle.

The 10-1 chance had finished well down the field on each of his three previous outings but sent to the front approaching the home turn by Russell, he wasn't hard pressed to hold the challenge of Sienna Storm by a length and a half.

Originally first reserve, he was backed into evens favourite once his participation was confirmed, although he looked to have a fight on his hands when Rubaiyat was snapping at his heels turning in.

That one made a mistake at the last though, handing a clear advantage to Sir Moko, who coasted in with four lengths to spare over Acriveen.

The JP McManus colours were carried to victory when the Niall Madden-trained Swiss Cottage (5-1) just got the better of Coolnaharan in the Quality Hotel & Leisure Centre Hurdle.
